Steel Sheep is a progressive folk music trio established in 2015, consisting of Bela Horvat (Slovenia/USA) on violin, Virxilio da Silva (Spain) on acoustic guitar and Matt Adomeit (USA) on double bass. The music they play uses Celtic music and American bluegrass as a basis for entirely original compositions and improvisations.

Steel Sheep distinguish themselves from similar bands in that they experiment with complex song forms, extended techniques, and contemporary improvisational concepts while still preserving a familiar listening experience. Each band member brings a diverse set of skills and musical backgrounds to the table, and together they create a seamless blend that never fails to deliver a unique and entertaining performance.

Steel Sheep is supported by the Amsterdam Fund for the Arts and the Sena Music Performance and Production Fund. The compositions are copyrighted under "Buma/Stemra", the Netherlands.
